Open Positions:
309A Certified Electrician
WireQ is currently looking for a motivated full-time 309A Certified Electrician, who is detail oriented and well versed in the Ontario Electrical Code requirements. You would be working independently and with the WireQ foremen and apprentices on projects ranging from residential installations to large commercial and industrial projects. You would report to the Project Manager. Position involves working at customer sites and requires manual labour in varying
conditions.
The ideal candidate:
- Would be interested in pursuing a long-term career with the WireQ team.
- They would have a positive attitude, the ability to work individually and in a team environment, while accurately following instructions and completing quality work in a timely fashion.
Project Salesperson
WireQ is currently looking for a motivated full-time project salesperson who is eager to meet new clients and help them achieve their goals. You would be meeting with potential clients to determine their needs, scope of work, and budget. Then you would work with the Project Manager and estimating team to create a proposal for the project. You would submit this proposal to the customer, answer any questions and close the sale, then work with the project
manager to ensure the agreed upon client work scope is completed.
The ideal candidate:
- Should have strong communication and people skills
- Sales experience, and an Electrical or Engineering background.
- Be self motivated, organized, receptive to learning, and able to work in a team or independently.
Project Estimator
WireQ is currently looking for a motivated full-time person who is eager to assist the team quoting large and small projects to complete our team pending a staff retirement. You would be working with our Project Manager and other team members to accurately and efficiently determine the needed equipment for projects given the customer or team provided scope of the project. This would include reading and analyzing drawings to ensure our scope meets ESA requirements, requested parameters, and provides value for our customers.
The ideal candidate:
- Should have an Electrical or Engineering background with estimating experience
- Be detail oriented and good with numbers.
- Be self motivated, organized, able to work on a team and independently, and receptive to learning.
Junior Estimator
WireQ is currently looking for a motivated person who is eager to learn and assist the team quoting large and small projects to enhance our team pending a staff retirement. You would be working with our Project Manager and other team members to accurately and efficiently determine the needed equipment for projects given the customer or team provided scope of the project. This would include reading and analyzing drawings to ensure our scope meets ESA requirements, requested parameters, and provides value for our customers. This is an entry to mid-level full time position with possible growth and advancement opportunities.

- Electrical or Engineering background, be detail oriented and good with numbers.
- They would be self motivated, able to work on a team and independently, and open to new learning experiences with the ability to retain information.
Service Solutions Team Technician
Job Overview:
WireQ is currently looking for a motivated person who is eager to learn the low voltage, security, access and alarm industry, that also has an interest in becoming a licenced electrician. This is a full-time position. You would be working with our Service Solutions Team to assist customers with site setup, maintenance, equipment installation, and trouble shooting. Position involves working with team members at the WireQ office and customer sites.
The ideal candidate would have an
- Interest in both the security industry and pursuing or continuing an electrical apprenticeship.
- They would be self motivated, able to work on a team and independently, and open to new learning experiences with the ability to retain information.
Electrical Apprentice
Job Overview:
WireQ is currently looking for a motivated person who is eager to learn become an electrical apprentice. This is a full-time position. You would be working with our team of foremen on projects ranging from residential installations to large commercial and industrial projects. Position involves working at customer sites with WireQ foremen and requires manual labour in varying conditions as you learn the trade.
